These were my first set of photos that were taken with my new Canon Digital Rebel XTi I received for Xmas.

Comment? Suggestions? Improvements? Rude remarks?

Nice work. The "Bean" looks fantastic.

The last two are great. The horizon is leaning in the reflection, not sure why, but the ghost effect of the two people is great. Nice work.

The leaning on the horizon is due to the curvature and shape of the bean itself and where the picture was taken. In that photo you really don't get much of a perspective on how the surface is shaped (it almost looks like it is flat, but it curved much the same way a fun house mirror would be)

On the last photo, the left side and imagine that you turned it 90 degrees counter-clockwise. That's the side the 2nd to last photo was taken from. You can get an idea of the curvature of that side of the bean.

The ghosting effect was just a lucky, but welcome outcome.

Thanks for the comments!

What a great way to test your new camera. I like them all. I would have liked a little more water reflection of the buildings in the first image and possibly in the second. The water probably was not still enough for a good reflection.

Yeah, the winds were blowing about 35mph or so, and with being downtown with the buildings tend to funnel into a small gale force along the river.

I have plans to head down there again when it's much calmer. I also love reflection shots also.

Thanks for all the comments everyone!
