I thought it would be fun if we all predicted the final score of the game and see who got the closest. I say New England will win 42-28. Let's here your prediction......

Hmmm, that's a tough call. I will say Pats are going to take it. Not sure of a possible score though. I think it will be a close high scoring game though.

Giants pull it out. 35-31 or something close and high scoring. The Pats are too distracted now with the signal stealing controversey and Sen. Arlen Specter flaming the issue.
Of course, I'm going with my heart here and not my better, more reasonable judgement.

I could care less, but regardless, heres an interesting fact for you.

The Super Bowl was (and still is) referred to as the World Super Bowl, which is very odd considering Canada has a good Football league going up there. I don't know if they'd be able to beat any of the US teams, but still. Maybe throw a few of them into the Playoffs. Other than that, Its also odd that the World Series is called that, considering there are teams in Japan (among other places) that could easily beat teams from the US. Again, I say throw a few of them into the playoffs.

Just saying, thats adding to the Americans thinking the US is the center of the universe stereotype.

Well I do have to agree with some of your post I don't agree with this statement. If you were to look into it you would find that these names, Super Bowl and World Series, have been around for many, many years. How long have professional teams been around in the other countries? I don't know the answer but I feel that since other countries have been coming into their own, if you would, that is why the World Baseball Classic is more fun to watch.

Actually, the Super Bowl started after the CFL was founded. Though the World Series was founded about 42 years before the Japs league started.

Like I said, throw some teams into the playoffs. Give em a chance, can't hurt.

maybe Giants 3, Pats 7?

Is anything ever going to happen in this game????

(I only watch it for the commercials, anyway. But they're only good during the first half.)

At least Tom Petty did OK. I was hoping Stevie Nicks would show up for a duet.

Where is all the scoring everyone predicted? I'm not a football fan, but I still think it's a good game. NY just scored and took the lead. Keeping the game close will keep people interested till the end.

I'm a little disappointed by the commercials tho.

Excellent game, we missed the first quarter because I got sucked into work and forgot. I think this one was all about defense, and the Giants had the better one. Stomped on Brady all over the place.

We didn't have a favorite team, but leaned towards the Giants, being the underdogs. Plus, Eli is cute in a dorky sort of way. :D

I didn't care but found myself rooting for Giants as they were the underdog and the more the game went on, the more enthusiastic I became.
It was a good game.....better than most superbowls.
