yeah, i do it about every year at this time... I'd like to hear your input on your favorite 5 images, and if you have any overall input for the whole folio. I have numbered them for easy reference.

I don't really have any input other than I like what you have. A very nice mixture of techniques used with various sports. I like all of them.

I love 3, I also like 2, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12. Lose 4. I see why you want it, it just doesn't make the grade.

As a former lax D-man and now defensive coordinator for a Lax team...I gotta go with #12, hehe. #2 is also a perfect stop-action shot with the puck and the goalies face! Keep up the good work.

I love the emotion in 11 and 7. I would have to say 3 is my favorite.

I love the kids face in #7...reminds me of when my hubby is fussing with the kids, but at this age...they look scared....at the high school age, they have a bit of different look...LOL

#12 He (it is a he isn't it?) is about to loose his shorts...LOL....

Brent # 4 would be better if it had more light on the players than the little guy. The others are up to your usual outstanding stuff!

Jimmy, the story was actually about the friends program, which teams up kids with older senior friends to give them someone to spend some time with and have fun on a daily basis. they were at their annual baseball game, where the kids escort the players out to their positions and chat with them and stand with them while the anthem is playing.

I understand that may be difficult to get just from the image, but when I submit these they will have captions.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

I believe there is a great story behind the photo, but the photo doesn't stand on it's own nor as a portfolio shot as the title implies. Now if it is more of a "year in review", have at it. I always put a disclaimer on my "year in review" that goes something like: "Year in Review is not always about the best shots that we have taken but about the story of the past year." I always have a few photos that I want included that fall below par but tell a great story.

First let me say I was excited to see this post. I love your shots and always look forward to see what you come up with. You've displayed so many different kinds of techniques and sports. I love that.

If I had to pick five these would be them.... 2, 3, 5, 7, & 9

I've always been in love with #5 not to mention the great set-up you had. I just wish there was less background gunk.

#12 bugs me cuz I want to pull that kid's shorts up! It's the Mom in me. :D

They are all excellent and show a wide range of technique and variation of subject matter (sports). I assume you're assembling this for either school or submission to sportsshooter. #8 demonstrates good lighting in a gym, but it's not a real exciting photo, no real emotion or contact. I'm pretty sure you've got a better basketball shot to choose from.

if I have to pick only 5 it would be numbers: 2,3,5,6,7, but I love all of them. I understand the story behind the picture with #4 and with a caption I think it works. Just me though..

#2 and #7 are REALLY my favs.... I am not a hockey sort of guy, but #2 is so clear and the colors are great. As a coach for some sports, #7 captures so much of a coach player relationship it is awesome.

Great job...As always....

I love #13 and was surprised no one else chose it. Both boys' faces are just so expressive! I also love #7. The eye contact is just so strong it makes my heart jump from so many feelings. #2 is just wonderful and I love the action in #10 & #11 plus #10 has awesome facial expressions. I really liked #12 until someone pointed out the pants coming off and now that is what I'm fixated on when I look at the picture. lol #3 intrigues me but it also makes me dizzy and I can't look at it for long.
