hey, is that the building with the bar/restaurant on the top floor?
Nice pic also. I think I might crop out a little of the bottom because it's dark and not clean looking like the rest of the shot. I also wish there was something more happening in the sky above the buildings there (a shooting star or two).

Wow I have a very similar shot taken from that location. It was a few years ago though, and on slide film. I'd have to say I'm satisfied with the shot. Sure a nicer sky would add to it but we can't control mother nature and we just gotta deal with what we're given. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your comment. :)
Actually it wasn't cloudy when I was making this photo. Thats why the sky is void. :( (Did I use right this word? or "empty" would be better? :) )

I think the picture looks good in it's first incarnation. Although GB1 doesn't like the black of the sand, I think it gives some nice contrast in a "this is man made, this is nature made" sort of way.

Irina,
Just in case you are still in SD while posting these shots, go across the Coronado Bridge, almost immediately after passing through the toll gates (which are empty as the bridge has been paid off and toll is no longer collected) there is a right hand turn. Turn right again and this will take you into a park. Walk along the water toward the left and you will see a most dramatic view of downtown and the skyline. Most worthy of a night shot such as this. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

I really like the shot. Nice composition and exposure. I like the placement of the walkway and the reflection off of the water is very nice. The only thing that bothers me is the blurring flag. Well done.

Irina,
I agree that this is a nice shot. The only advice I would offer would be to try for a little earlier in the evening while there's still a touch of light in the sky to provide a little better definition to the buildings.

Irina - yes, that's it! You might also crop off about half of the black space above the buildings. It doesn't look bad or anything, but doing that might force attention back to the buildings, creating more of a 'nightlife' feeling. Btw, empty is probably a better word, though void works fine too :D

Unfortunately I'm not in San Diego now. I'm going to make photos from that point next visit San Diego? Did you mean the Tidelands park?
Greg McCary
I know... Me too. But the exposure was 30 seconds. Therefore the flag is blurring.

I gonna try to make new photos earlier next visit San Diego. :)

I've made this picture with new crop. :) But I think it's a little cramped(or tight gonna be better? :D ).
Thank you. I'm learning English. I've been living in America just for one year. :) And I'll appreciate for you all for correction me. :)
