i took a hike two days ago to the top of stone mountain and took this pic.

I felt like the jooger in the picture was ruining the image. what do you guys think?

The composition of the cropped version would be interesting if:

1) The sun was not so monstrous and blown out
2) The sky had more dramatic clouds/colors

it would look better but since the clouds and colors were not available I tried going with the bright sun and the dark image of the tree.
Do you guys think that the person in the original makes the shot look less attractive?

Yeah, I like the person in the image ... gives it something extra.

i dont agree with the clouds comment. I like this as it is. It gives more attention to the tree and the sun. I like the people element of the photo, but just wish i could tell what they are doing...the one on the right kind of looks like a backpacker? I wish their silhouettes were more complete, and you could see their legs.

Im not too keen on the people in the image, if you hadnt said what they where I would be wondering and unable to figure it out. to me, and I have been told i have an "odd" mind, it looks like a monster with his erm, manhood out, stalking a hiker.
