Spent a chunk of my thanksgiving getting hand surgery and recovering in seattle. For some reason thought it was a good idea to take some night shots doped up the next night. All considered think a couple came out ok, want to try more.

Good drugs?
I think the second and fourth show some potential but I also think you better be aware of your surroundings being out and about after dark in that neighborhood.

You have a couple of neat ones there.

I have one word for you: Tripod.

:-D

Good drugs? Ha, does it show? Second was my favorite but always nice to have more experienced opinions. I thought the walk sign could be a cool picture if you could get one of those signs with a stream of head/tail lights in the background but couldnt get the angle.

Thanks speed. I just have a little gorillapod right now but its not cutting it. Full size tripod is definitely on the list.

A decent tripod and ballhead are wothwhile investments. I've got about $200 into mine.

On the other hand, a simple tripod from Wal Mart will do the job if you have a tight budget. I don't knock them, because that's what I used for the first couple of years. And even a $20 tripod from Wal Mart (or K Mart, Best Buy, etc) will hold the camera a LOT steadier than you can.
