ok so i have that camera the sony handcam mini dv i think its a DCR-SC100? but anyways i recorded some videos on it and i want them on my computer so i bout i firewire cable from best which was DV in/out To Firewire and i cant figure out how to get the videos on my computer i mean when i switch the camera to camera mode a box comes up that says ethier capture video or encode nothing about get videos off the camera can someone help me with this please?

You need to have some type of software to use. What computer do you use and what type, if any, software are you planning on editing with? Macs have iMovie and the PC's with XP or higher have Windows Movie Maker that are pretty simple to use and have a help section to get you started.
