here's a bunch of dragonflys from today. North park village nature preserve, chicago IL.

really nice light. A half stop more DoF might improve this. might not.

Cool! You got one feeding!

We have a tremendous number of dragonflies too right now. I've been looking for a good prey moment but haven't got any. All the ones I see feeding are doing so on the wing and the meal is gone in an instant.

Nice find.

I was really happy to find the feeding one too, unfortunately he was in some brush facing the forest, and there was an employee of the nature center about 20 feet away - no sneaking off the path for me! Getting the shot meant leaning as far into the brush as possible without spooking it, or falling over. The angle I wanted (45 degrees from forward) just wasn't going to happen.

Here's a mating shot I think works better.

my master at his finest,i can only hope i reach even a fraction at your level,but i'm practicing,great shots i love them all.
