Has anybody heard of this camcorder? I would be using it to film sporting events, and skateboarding mostly. But I am new to digital camcorders, and this is a miniDV, and I was wondering if there was anyway to get what I film on a blank DVD?Could I connect the usb (if it comes with one) to my computer and put it on there, then transfer to a DVD?

Do you have a Mac or a PC. The Mac comes with iMovie and IDVD which should be just fine. Windows has Movie Maker which also does a very good basic job. For the PC, Sony puts out a package that has a consumer version of Vegas, their editing software, and DVD studio, a fairly easy to use DVD authoring program. Last time I looked, the Vegas package was less than $150 US.I wouild suggest reading your camera manual to find out if full morion video needs to be transfered via firewire or USB.
