I was in California all last week. On my way back to Salt Lake I took a little side trip to the Ruby Mountains. Those of you who look at my photos and posts regularly might remember that I've made a few stops in and around the Ruby Mountains. They are a hidden gem in Northern Nevada and currently one of my favorite places.

I'm posting a couple of photos here. But I posted a nice story with more pitchers in my Photo-John Blog (http://forums.photographyreview.com/blog.php?do=showentry&e=283).

The photos were all taken with the recent Canon PowerShot SD850 IS (http://www.photographyreview.com/cameras/digital-cameras/8-10-megapixel/canon/PRD_404389_6446crx.aspx) point-and-shoot digital camera. I'm very impressed with it and a pro review is in the works. It should be done in the next few days.

Every time you post your adventure shoots of the west I get the urge to pack up the car and head that way. Looks like I'll have to add the Ruby Mountains to the list now.
