Hi all .. I was working in Bristol, in the West of England, for a few days but took time out for a walk around the place. Down a back street I found this street art, presumably on the site of an old picture house.
As always, any comments are appreciated.
Cheers
Mike
I like this for the statement it makes. A lot of old theatres have bit the dust here too.
It seems rather empty on top and I don't know that cropping would help it.
Makes me wonder who did the art work.

Who's to argue with your compositional skills. I think this one is well framed. The garbage can is the only distraction. At least it's painted to match the scene. Well done as always.

Hi guys - thanks for looking.
Frog: I have no idea who did the art, but that area has a fair bit of grafitti art - most of it quality stuff.
Greg: I know what you mean about the garbage can. Unfortunately it was chained to the metal railings of the steps so I couldn't move it. At least it was colourful, as you say. I did move some bags of rubbish which were on the platform at the top of the steps. I suppose it could be argued that the garbage can is symbolic of the closure/decay of the picture house.
Funnily enough, these days these are the rear of the premises of a business owned by a muslim gentleman who came out a door to enquire why I was photographing his building. When he realised I was only interested in the art (and wasn't from the council or something) he was as helpful as he could be.
Cheers
