When a vulture lands on one's hut? I would imagine so in some parts of the world.

The little male red-winged blackbird did his very best to try to protect the homeowner :)

The other aspect, it never ceases to amaze me how some of these smaller birds will go after anything that they must feel threatens their territory. We sometimes have a mule deer or two in our yard...boy, the magpies do not really like it.
