Hello there!

I need some suggestions for a good camera to buy. Allot of my pictures are at nightclubs of bands and of the people there. I need a digital camera that has the best built in flash for this. Too many of my current pics are so dark I have to mess with them in some photo software to get them to look just OK.

I am getting ready to buy soon and would like to find something 4 to 6 megapixel that is easily carried into concerts and such. I would like to find a camera that I don;t have to be within 10 ft for the flash to work...

Thanks for any help!

what about one with a hotshoe for an external flash?

I have a Fuji S7000 which has an excellent built in flash (up to 35 feet apparently) and also has a hotshoe.
You don't say what sort of camera you are after. Any compact camera will have a limited flash range.

I'm with Malum on this one. Built-in flash is WAY too underpowered, no matter what. A hot shoe with an external flash will work much better, and it will give you bounce and diffusion options.

When I shiit theater or concerts, I prefer a fast ISO with a fast lens and no flash. I think it retains the mood much better than blowing out the stage lights with flash. A digital Rebel or D70 with a fast lens would be perfect for such occassions.
