Well?

Heres one for you.....

I got home after shooting at the track, a tennis sectional and a track sectional only to find I had no power at home. Some quick looking for candles and at least I could see again, but what do I do to send my photos? A quick trip down the road to see if any hotspots were available for 54G on WiFi struck out, then it hit me. I have an inverter, so run an extension cord in the house from the truck and hook up my DSL and wireless router and the laptop.... Bingo! It worked great, dumped my photos for the paper and done :D

Next project may be solar panels for emergency power.....I just hope it's fixed in the morning like they said it would be....

Nice little fix ya got going there!

I had one the other day. I left my camera gear at work since I didn't need it at home that day. Boss calls and says he didn't have the chance to upload 3 gigs worth of photos and asks if I can do it for him. I tell him sure, and he drops off the CF cards at my house around 9pm.

Then I realize that my card reader is at work, my wife's camera takes SD cards, and I don't have anyway to get the pictures off the cards. I'm dreading having to drive all the way back to work just for a little card reader, then I notice the CF card slot on my printer :)

Insert card, printer acts like a CF card reader, dump photos, zip & upload :)
