View Full Version : Is there room of an Olympus OM-2n owner here? OM-2n 05-03-2007, 08:15 PM I purchased my camera in 1979 new for $460 w/ a 50mm, f1.8 lens. Since then I purchased other lenses and a flash. Greg McCary 05-04-2007, 01:58 AM Certainly. I started at PR with a camera I bought in 1987. Even though it wasn't an Olympus. Welcome to the forums I hope you hang around and share some pictures, tips and techniques or just open up a discussion. I think you will like PR. Greg Photo-John 05-04-2007, 02:10 PM Heck yeah! We need more manual 35mm holdouts. Plus, the Olympus OM SLRs are get too little attention while Leica, Nikon, and Canon manual cameras steal all the thunder. But I know that the Olympus OM cameras and lenses were top choice for mountaineers and other photographers that wanted performance, reliability, and portability. There was a time when I really coveted the Olympus OM4Ti. Those are beautiful cameras. So welcome! Hope you'll stick around and maybe be our resident expert in Olympus 35mm SLR cameras. There's no reason this forum should only be for digital stuff. Tyson L. Sparks 05-04-2007, 05:09 PM I welcome you also, I would love to see some of your pictures. VictorII 05-08-2007, 10:05 AM Welcome! I use a couple of manual cameras, including a black OM-1 that I love. The OM-2 is a great camera! Greg McCary 05-08-2007, 01:10 PM I have an E500 that stays in manual. I would love for you to share pictures and techniques. I shot film for awhile before I went digital. I still use a Canon rangefinder from time to time. What lenes do you use? Greg OM-2n 05-29-2007, 05:34 PM Thanks for the welcome. I don't know if my photos are that good, but I'll try to get some up. I haven't done any "amateur" photography for many years since I started a family. It may take some time to find something. |
