Awsome Captures Bob, i just found another nesting area with about 10 nest`s . Im gona try for some captures maybe next week . Again good shots Bob :)
I think you must be Dr Doolittle Bob and have'nt owned up to it yet!
no one surely can have as many wonderous animals and birds surrounding them as you do, great shots as always, the Green Heron is superb.

What can I say, Bob? Images are terrific. I can see that your images are going to be of the highest caliber.

Thanks for the comments all! I am fortunate to live in an area abundant with water birds. I have a Heron rookery walking distance from my home, and my house backs to a wildlife preserve. I'm spoiled, in that I can pretty much shoot every day if I want. On the weekends, I normally hike through the swamplands to see what nature serves up for me. Since I'm new on this forum, I've been posting some of my shots taken over the past 6 months or so. Here are a couple more herons for you:
