It's been awhile for me. I have not really been shooting much lately. Instead I have been pouring over older images. This is one from my first digital camera, a Minolta DiMage 7i, circa 2002-2003.

It was shot in color with the intention of being converted to B&W, therefore I didn't bother to set the WB the day of the shoot. Big mistake. the color version is pink, and I believe that actually messed with some of the tonal values abit. plus, now 5 years later I would really have liked to play with the color version. Oh well, we live and learn.

Critiques are very welcomed, just keep in mind the age of the photo, and the realitive inexperience of the photographer at the time.

looks ok! Nothing special for me! The sort of flying effect caused by the blur is quite effective

Almo--I like the blurring of the arms waving. I don't know if a tonal adjustment would be necessary here or not, because everything is well lit. Perhaps a smidge of contrast adjustment? Either way, it's pretty good for a camera that is a dinosaur by today's standards.

Very cool! Looks like the kid has some abnormally long arms, or maybe it is just the shutter :P
