The Protea is indigenous to South Africa. It's only found in the southern parts of the country. 'Proteas' is also the name of the South African national cricket team, The team who is of course, without any doubt in anybody's mind, going to win the Cricket World Cup, currently underway in the West Indies. *ahem*wink*wink*!
