i'm a newbie here, I will get right down to it. im been having a problem with my optimus digital camera 5.0 and i'm not sure about on what to do. the trouble began earlier today when i using the video feature anyway it fallen off from my desk. it was on while it fell i test it out to see if it works i erase a video clip and i turn it off but the lens is still open.
i turn it on the LED light stays on solid red. useually its just blinks the red to green i hate to say it i'm in deep do doo if its broke

I've never heard of the Optimus brand. It's definitely not a well-known camera brand. That might indicate that it's not a really well-made camera. I don't know if that makes any difference under the cirumstances, though. If it got dropped on the floor while the lens was out, it could very well have mechanical damage to the lens transport system. That could screw up the whole thing. The first thing I'd do is try removing the battery and putting it back in. Sometimes that will clear the camera's memory and allow it to start fresh. Same goes for the memory card, if it has one. If that doesn't work, I'd say, yes - you are in deep doo doo.
