View Full Version : Personal stuff from me (non-photo related)
walterick 05-28-2004, 09:30 PM Hey folks! If you've opened this thread, it means you care about me! Yay! :D
Here's a few things:
1.) My movie is coming out this weekend! Remember, the HBO movie my sister and I were featured, swing-dancing extras in? Well, its finally coming out, this Sunday, 8pm on HBO. It's called Something the Lord Made. I can't tell you which part of the movie we'll be in but it was a mansion party scene and we were typically the couple dancing closest to the camera. Hope you all can watch! (I hope I look good! :p
2.) Here's an interesting link that I thought I might share: Monks selling ink cartridges: www.lasermonks.com
3.) And lastly, I am leaving tomorrow morning to help a client of mine move to New Hampshire. It's a paid gig, she's really nice, I've never seen New England, and I'm sticking a Boston photo-gathering onto the end of it! Cha-ching! So I'll see you all in a week or so.
Behave.
Here's a picture of my sister Dj and I in our movie costumes:
Have a great trip Rick! Sure wish I could have met you, but my back has prevented me from doing much of anything for the past 2 months. :( Hope you enjoy New England. What part of NH will you be going?
It figures, I don't have HBO, dang! You two look great in this photo. Sis is a very pretty young lady :)
I look forward to seeing the next round of photos from your Boston gathering, and maybe some from NH.
Have fun!
Rick,
Thanks for the great news......I'll try to watch the movie. Great photo.
It sounds like you have some good plans for the next few weeks. Maybe you can come to NY when Charles Hess is around the end of June? :)
Anyway, thanks for sharing this with everyone.

Asylum Steve 05-29-2004, 11:54 AM More like David Byrne... :D
Great news on the film. I hope it launches you and dj as the next Fred & Ginger!!!

OMG! I can't believe this is the movie! I have been so stoked to see this -- already got the DVR set to record it. Alan Rickman, Mos Def, Charles Dutton....did I mention Alan Rickman?? The buzz I've heard about it is very, very good.
Oh and LaserMonks? Too cool for school. I just forwarded that to my fellow work geeks.

Asylum Steve 05-29-2004, 05:06 PM I didn't realize that was the film. I saw a commercial for it, and am embarassed to admit my thought at the time was, "hmmm, Alan Rickman in a cable movie. How sad..."
I realize that I shouldn't rush to judge, though, as HBO, Showtime, and Turner all make fairly good films now. Let's hope for the best...
BTW, I too am a huge Rickman fan:
"Why cut out his heart with a spoon, Sir? Why not a knife?"
"A spoon is DULL, you twit! It would hurt more!" :D

Cowgirl 05-29-2004, 08:08 PM Congrats!!!!
That is way too cool!
Anyway ya'll are a good looking dance team. Also, I think that you may look a little like country singer Brad Paisley! :)

Well, I just added the movie to my Netflix list. It's not released yet, but when it is, I'll be watching it!
Yaaay! Congrats Rick. From what I've been reading, the movie is pretty awesome!
megan 06-01-2004, 06:16 AM Hmmm, about 8pm Sunday night I had just gotten off a ferry from St. John to St. Thomas after spending the day hiking through the rainforest to the secluded, desolate, gorgeous Reef Bay beach! :D I was nowhere near a tv. But Reg has HBO, and I'll keep my eye out for it!
Hope you had a smooth move.

When would that be? I might be in town - it depends on the weekend.
If I'm in town, I'll definitely gather.
