I am a current photo student and i will be graduating in may. Im starting to search for jobs in photography or related to the arts in some way either doing apprentiships, intern, assistant, sales, galleries or museums and studios. if anyone can give me any advice on how/where to look. I really dont mind having to do grunt work in order to get my foot in the door. I appreciate any feedback.

I almost moved this to the Business & Law forum but I think you'll get the same responses here, plus probably faster. But do a search in that forum for other ideas.

The adviice I have is to look for a photographer seeking an assistant. It's low-paying, but gives excelllent experience. I see ads on Craigslist every few weeks for a photographer's assistant wanted. You mentioned sales, etc. Walking into local galleries and offering your services as a sales rep, receptionist, etc may pan out for you. I guess my ultimate advice is you'll get out of it what you put into it. So hit the streets, hit the websites, do the work and something will eventually turn up.

Good luck!
