Addie, As always your images are great, and your puppy is adorable! I did not have a camera this year because I sold my DSLR a few days before christmas and shipped it off, not giving any thought as to where the christmas pics would come from. When I got home I dug out my lil P&S Powershot and found that the only CF card I had left was dead...:( What did you name your pup? Photo-John 12-25-2006, 01:32 PM Took this one yesterday and doctored it up to make it all festive-like. Merry Christmas (or the Holiday of your choice) to all my friends! http://gallery.photographyreview.com/data/photography//500/MG_5031.jpg ZJChaser 12-25-2006, 01:56 PM Just grabbed a family portrait this morning, will add some more later. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/ZJChaser/2006-12-25%20xmas/familyxmas06.jpg Greg McCary 12-25-2006, 02:24 PM I already posted this once, but since this is the official thread, Merry Christmas Greg BMWJNKY 12-25-2006, 04:38 PM Took this one yesterday and doctored it up to make it all festive-like. Merry Christmas (or the Holiday of your choice) to all my friends! http://gallery.photographyreview.com/data/photography//500/MG_5031.jpg Damn I miss my mountain bike, it was stolen about 4 days before X-mas last year:( Here is the X-mas gift to myself, new exhaust system for my BMW. http://www.norcal-ls1.com/multimedia/data/500/238catback_1-med.jpg http://www.norcal-ls1.com/multimedia/data/500/238catback_3-med.jpg Any my favorite gift was from my parents... http://www.norcal-ls1.com/multimedia/data/500/23850mm.jpg Photo-John 12-25-2006, 06:43 PM Damn I miss my mountain bike, it was stolen about 4 days before X-mas last year:( How much did that exhaust cost? Priorities... :p Merry Christmas. The lens is sweet. And I'm sure the exhaust is, too :) mdmc 12-25-2006, 06:53 PM A small part of my family that gathered for dinner. My sister made a ham and I deep fried a turkey (to perfection:D). And another kind of ham that loves to open presents. Merry Christmas everyone!! Mark. mdmc 12-25-2006, 07:02 PM instead of 20 different ones, I thought we could put them here... Here's our big gift this year... Adoreable! Mark. Asylum Steve 12-26-2006, 04:59 AM Here's our big gift this year... Yeah, yeah. Puppy. Like, whatever... Now Toy Robot PJs!!! THAT is something that is way too cool... :cornut:  Jaedon 12-26-2006, 05:35 AM The Calm before the storm. I took this one after "Santa" had arrived and before we got into the christmas spirits =) adina 12-26-2006, 05:56 AM Yeah, yeah. Puppy. Like, whatever... Now Toy Robot PJs!!! THAT is something that is way too cool... :cornut:  That's what my mom said. "are those robots on his pajamas?" Dogs name is Gingerbread. The girls have a toy dog they've named Gingerbread that they have been dragging around for about a year. So far so good, but we have to take her out every 10 minutes. And when she wakes up, she acts like she's on crack. Crazy crazy Jaedon 12-26-2006, 06:03 AM Found another one I liked. Taken Dec 23rd at the Niagara festival of lights christmas lights display. ghengis 12-26-2006, 06:54 AM my daughter and granddaughter http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/6524/img0896bi2.jpg drg 12-26-2006, 07:02 AM Doesn't look very big to me. Is Gingerbread a 12 or 14 inch beagle? Doesn't really matter, very cute puppy. I bet the whole family was delighted. Hope you and the new addition will have a Happy New Year! OBie 12-26-2006, 08:57 AM This is my daughter and our cat, who was high on catnip at the time. (The cat, not the daughter). Best gift was a Sigma 70-200 f2.8. Yeah! Guess I have to learn how to really take pictures now. No excuses. This was taken with a Nikkor lens - still getting used to the weight of the Sigma (thank goodness for my sturdy mono!). Alison 12-26-2006, 09:16 AM Here is much of how my Christmas morning went. The first two pics were taken around 3:00am to 3:20am. Both my babies have rotten colds so haven't been sleeping at night. Finally went to bed at 6am and was up again at 10am. The "after dinner" look was just my 20 year old and 14 year old daughter's clowning around lol. My children are so much fun to photograph. I didn't manage to get pics of my other 3 children. There was too much going on, too much mess and not enough room! I will get a family portrait one day! All pics were taken with my Christmas pressie from my hubby...my new 17-40mm F/4 L lens :) Photo-John 12-26-2006, 09:22 AM I love love LOVE the deep fried turkey! That's a cute little shnuffler :) Photo-John 12-26-2006, 01:18 PM The food layout at my dad's house, before everyone arrived. The shrimp were the best! CLKunst 12-26-2006, 01:24 PM My sister and 11 month old nephew at the Christmas Eve Eve party. Hope it was a Happy Happy for everyone on PR! Photo-John 12-26-2006, 01:30 PM Oh - those are great! I love the little man in the second one! :) SmartWombat 12-26-2006, 03:39 PM Hmm, given the project is "the season" I'll try hard to remember and not re-post... BMWJNKY 12-26-2006, 07:30 PM How much did that exhaust cost? Priorities... :p Merry Christmas. The lens is sweet. And I'm sure the exhaust is, too :) The muffler was $134 plus $16 shipping from Summit Racing (Borla XR-1 race) and to have the custom Y-pipe made and 3" piping to the muffler was $125 from Muffler Tech in Sacramento. schrackman 12-26-2006, 09:00 PM Just a few from our Christmas, which we celebrated in a cabin at Lake Arrowhead. Your priorities are approved :p I'll get another bike next summer, right now I'm trying to save up a first and last on a place of my own since I can't find any decent room mates. I kind of had to get the new exhaust for my car cause I sold the one I had on it and didn't have one on the car for about a week:D BMWJNKY 12-26-2006, 10:26 PM I think we should start up a 50mm club :D I cannot praise this lens enough!!! Awesome pictures shrackman! Great colours and dof. It's an absolute diamond of a lens isn't it?! I haven't gotten a chance to test mine out much. I tried taking some pics of my cat but since she is black and doesn't like to sit still they didn't turn out too well. I'll get some good ones with it this weekend though. mdmc 12-26-2006, 10:54 PM my daughter and granddaughter Now thats what christmass is all about!!!! Mark. schrackman 12-26-2006, 11:33 PM I think we should start up a 50mm club :D I cannot praise this lens enough!!! Yeah, but let's be exclusionists and keep it to Canonites! LOL Awesome pictures shrackman! Great colours and dof. It's an absolute diamond of a lens isn't it?! Yes, and you can't beat the price either. The only drawback, of course, is that it is plastic and one has to be very careful not to drop it...well, too late for me. It fell out of our jeep yesterday. Fortunately for me the snow cushioned the fall but that was a close one! :nonod: mdmc 12-27-2006, 12:31 AM Yeah, but let's be exclusionists and keep it to Canonites! LOL I dont think so!!!!:D Actually my 18-70 kit lens is sooooo good that I have been keeping this behind plastic. But if a war should ever break out?!?! mdmc 12-27-2006, 12:37 AM [QUOTE=schrackman]Just a few from our Christmas, which we celebrated in a cabin at Lake Arrowhead. I'm loving my new 50mm EF 1.8! Dave The tires are the new Hankook Ventus R-S2, 200 tread wear and stick like glue in the dry but are a little twitchy in the rain. My car is an '89 325i 4 door (E30 chassis code) with an M50 engine swap. The M50 is the engine out of the 92-95 BMW 3 series. I've put a lot of time and money into the car but its pretty close to a point where I can call it done and just be happy driving it. My car is currently rated #3 out of all the E30's, 84-91 and #31 out of all the 3 series BMW's on Car Domain. Here are more photos and a full list of modifications on the car. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/844308 DaveLC2 12-27-2006, 08:00 PM The tires are the new Hankook Ventus R-S2, 200 tread wear and stick like glue in the dry but are a little twitchy in the rain. I don't know BMW's too well and that exh prior to the y-pipe and beefy rear diff was totally throwing me off. Looks like a nice ride. Do you go to Sacramento Raceway? That track has a nice vibe. I need to go back again since my runs were botched by a faulty waste gate solenoid :( I believe I ran a 14.2 @ 95mph which was probably about 1/2 sec & 5mph slower than it should've run. I am currently working on a engine swap myself. My project has taken WAY too long but it's underway full steam ahead. Here's a link to my cardomain although it's in serious need of updating. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/560870 My wife got me Sony Ericsson's k800 :P http://tinypic.com/2dbl7co.jpg http://tinypic.com/2yvmjpd.jpg Dave specradio 12-27-2006, 08:39 PM Okay, okay, if ya'll are gonna cry about it, we'll let you in too. :p Let the 50mm 1.8 war begin! Yeah, hold each by the lens when locked onto the camera, see which one breaks first. Metal > Plastic :p Anyways, I didn't take any Christmas pictures, and i'm the only one in the family now with a digital camera. BMWJNKY 12-27-2006, 09:14 PM I've been out to Sac raceway a few times but not with my current set-up. With my other diff that has lower gears I should run mid to low 14's which isn't bad for a N/A 2.5L inline 6. I took out a B20 swapped (2.0L RSX engine) mid '80's Accord a couple weeks ago and he was really surprised he lost:D DaveLC2 12-28-2006, 02:11 AM Here are some Christmas pics. I have to figure out how to keep the picture quality when resizing. To me these look like total garbage compared to the full size version. How are you all keeping the clarity when resizing? Old Timer 12-29-2006, 04:54 AM Here are a few from our family Christmas. We had all the children home for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, a first in several years. This was the first time that all the grandchildren had been in the same place at the same time. We had a great time sorry it ended so soon. #1 My girls all dressed up and ready for bed on Christmas Eve. #2 The boys (our three grandsons) all dressed up and ready for Christmas. #3 My two daughters hamming it up with one of their presents. #4 Samson my youngest daughters contribution to the Christmas festivities plays with a new toy. The day after Christmas my wife and I flew out to Utah to see my parents & sister and her family, and since my sister didn't know we were coming out to Utah for Christmas they got a great surprise :) My dad and me spend most of the 27th just driving around, looking for good photo spots. Problem is, with all the snow on the roads, there was no place to pull over to take photos! But I did get a couple in Making the best out of a situation: A pedestrian bridge at a park in Provo Canyon The other exciting thing we did even though it was a really icy wind and 33 degrees we took my nieces sledding.
