Good shots. Rodeos at night are tough because most arenas are poorlyt lit. If you use strobes, you take the chance of having angry contestants that think you spooked their horse and that is why they didn't win.

Catching the horse leaning and the rider looking at the next barrel makes the best shots as in picture #3, but it takes a while to get the timing right to catch the shot.

Post processing can bring up color and contrast, but, again, good job.

hey thank you for your comment, I really having fun too even though on the side taking picture. But them kids I thinks they are greats. I didn't know the flash would spook the horse. don't you thinks so?

I agree with the other poster but I also think I'd crop a lot of the excess background out as well.

Those arenas are tough. I have been trying to get by without strobe. However, I end up with a lot of grain in some shots. Other then DigitalGem, do you guys know any good grain removal techniques?

Almost any event like this you will need flash of some sort.

You did a nice job capturing the action and lean of the horse but agree with JS that a tighter crop would be better. A tighter crop will focus the attention onto the rider and horse.
