Anybody got any tips to improve my watersports photos?

#1: Crop off the left side to get rid of the ship in the background. this shot isn't real sharp though, I'd toss it myself.
#2: Nice catch, looks much sharper than the top one.

#1 I agree the focus is off.
But I get the feeling his right turn was unexpected, which is why he's off the right edge of hte frame. That would look fat better if it was centre, or left of the frame.
#2 agian the focus is a little soft, or it needs unsharp mask, but it's better than #1
And again for me the action is too close to the edge of the frame, but it's the edge he's moving from toward the centre of hte image, that's better.

I would tend to agree with SW on #1. I like the shot but the lack of focus is distracting.
#2 is a nice shot and my only complaint would be that you can not see the waterso you have no idea how high up he is off the waves.
