I really hope I’m getting better at this… I nearly froze taking these.

Another black capped chickadee, sorry but I like them :)

I’m embarrassed to say that I can’t ID this bird. The yellow beak is throwing me.

the one you can't ID is a male Passer domesticus found in almost every town on this planet :)

Snow!!!! I hope that holds off here in NJ for along time, since I work outside from 6am- dark.

Those gold finches both look like they are ready for spring already :)

Thanks Paul :blush2: I've only seen them with darker beaks before.

That's a nonbreeding male with a very yellow beak. Most I see have a duller beak with yellowish middles(as depicted in the Sibley guide) .

Very nice shots Copy_kot. I like the chickadees too, as winter goes on they are the most common birds I see when I'm out walking about as most of the others have moved on south.

Definitely "getting better"

I love that cardinal shot! Great action with the sunflower. Your focus looks spot on. Just a little tight on the crop at the bottom (near the tail).

Good job!

I processed some more of the cardinal images, instead of starting a new thread I’ll post them here. None of these have had a crop applied to them, it was kind of hard keeping this guy in the frame.... I love the lens and TC. BTW, I have today off *HURRAY.* :)

Well if these are full-frame, then I would say you're doing great! Nice in-camera compositions and execution  The results of you're practices are definitely showing.

I bet I know what you'll be doing today :)
