View Full Version : S3 IS Tripods?? steve115 09-19-2006, 04:50 AM Hi can anyone recommend a decent tripod to use with S3 IS thanks... Photo-John 09-19-2006, 09:30 AM Steve- I think we need some more information. How much are you willing to spend, what do you want to use it for, are there any size restrictions, etc? You can buy tripods for as little as $25 or spend $1000+. Carbon fiber is really nice, but expensive. I have one huge aluminum tripod that I use in the studio or carry in the car. I have another small carbon fiber tripod that I can put in my suitcase for travel. Here's a link to the tripod reviews on this site. That might give you some more ideas: Read and write tripod reviews >> (http://www.photographyreview.com/sf-6/mapid-46/befid-96463/pgnum-1/nm-10/productlistcrx.aspx) I'm sure you'll have more questions. We'll be here to answer them :) livin4lax09 09-19-2006, 02:58 PM i would personally recommend getting a well-built tripod right off the bat. A sturdy tripod will last you a long time, but if you buy a cheap one, you'll end up having to replace it. and I agree with john on his points as well. steve115 09-22-2006, 03:56 AM Thanks to the both of you for your advice... |
