Hey all, first post in desperation.

I am going to a music festival this weekend, and leave on thursday, and bought a cheap digital camera from tesco's thinking that rubbish quality pictures are better than none at all.

Its a Praktika Slimpix camera, and it seems as though it takes pictures, meaning it beeps when one is taken, but i checked to see if i could transfer them to my computer, and even though i must have taken about 50 pictures, the software detects the camera but cant find any pictures :(

can somebody please help me out as a quuick reply would be GREATLY appreciated!

Does the camera use a memory card or does it just use built-in internal memory? If it uses a memory card you should be able to buy a card reader and use that to download the photos. Otherwise, you'll probably have to contact the camera manufacturer for drivers. You could also try doing a Google search for "Praktika Slimpix drivers."

What kind of computer have you got, Mac or PC?
Which operating system, Windows 98, XP, ME, or onew of the MacOS versions?

I know it sounds silly, but is the cable all the way in the camera socket?
I had a problem with a USB drive where if the plug was loose it would find the drive, but not the data - it was really weird.
