The two mantises in my front yard are still at it - obviously benefitting from the good choice of their location amidst the hostas. Honey bees and bumble bees (as well as the occasional H-bird) are constantly hovering overhead.

BTW, the "meal" was still twitching at this point when I first discovered the picnic already in progress :p

Jaedon, yeah it was pretty gruesome as other body parts kept getting spat out :p The mantis did a cool twirl with the wings before moving on to juicer parts.

Quetzal, you bet I'm milking these buggers for all they're worth. I've never shot them before and they were on my list of subjects for this year. Once I found them, they are as good as models :p

PS; The color looks "off" on this uploaded image. I've had a few instances of this in the past. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong in the postprocessing (something about aRGB or sRGB or something like that?).
