Many subjects have a tendency of being over photographed. Butterflies fall into that group.

Looking for ways to shoot them that is different/unusual. This means you will either like it or hate it. Either is OK by me as long as you have a strong impulse one way or the other.

Feedback please.

I like them both. The one in the air is great. Crystal clear focus. I like the DOF as well.

I LIKE it. I don't care how over-photographed butterflies are, as there is a reason why they are photographed so much...they are wonderfully beautiful creatures. A good photograph, like this one, really brings out how marvelous God's creation really is.

wow. i really like this one. its so simple. i would frame this, (then ship it to me :rolleyes: )
what kind of camera and lens was this shot with? i dont think ive seen such a sharp picture.

Thanks for looking, Greg, Schrackman, and Markg. No matter how many images I take of these beauties, I still can't resist shooting more whenever I see them. Sometimes I feel that I might be suffering from sensory deadness (from seeing/shooting so many) so I appreciate your comments!

Mark, I use a Canon 10D and a Canon 300mm f/4L IS.
