I just don't know how you do it. If I shot this picture, a dead tree in a field, it would depict a dead tree in a field. But you seem to have the creative ability to make these shots worth looking viewing and examining for the wonderful detail and depth.

As always, nicely done.

Did you use a polarizing filter? That would help darken some of the harsh highlights in the field and on the tree itself. I like how the clouds look like they are streaming off the tree, cool subject too.

CF: You just made my day, really! I was fearing that this shot would be perceived as a boring dead tree in a pointless empty field. It's good to know that it works for you.

mbignold: No polarizer here (although it would have simplified my life big time that day...). I don't even own one that fits on my current lenses anymore. It's probably going on my "to get" list... Thanks for commenting.
