I'm a little weary buying a used camera, although it is tempting to save money as well. I really have no experience with this, so how do you feel about it? Is there anything in particular to be aware of?

SpeedingSphere 07-18-2006, 12:14 AM All a refurb is, is a used camera that was repaired by the manufacturer themselves. Nothing to worry about, and if something happens, they should cover it. if you buy a used camera, ask how many shots have been put through the camera, and compare to the manufacturers rated shot lifetime. My 350D is rated at 50,000 shots, and I have put 10k on it since last october. 40k to go! :-P but I'm getting a 30D(or whatever is currently around $1300) next summer, whoopee! </end ramble> EOSThree 07-18-2006, 08:10 AM I have bought 3 of my lenses, and one of my camera bodies used from KEH, http://www.keh.com/onlinestore/home.aspx I have returned one lens in the 14 day period and purchased another one of a higher grade. KEH offers a 14 day inspection period. |
