Let's see some PR entrants, and perhaps a winner.

The annual competition organised jointly by Bird Watching magazine and Warehouse Express is now the award that all bird photographers – amateur and professional and from all parts of the globe – aspire to win.

Now in its fourth year, the International Wildbird Photographer competition is generating some of the most exciting images of birds ever seen. With a magnificent prize fund exceeding £10,000, the organisers feel confident that last year’s record entry of 6,000 pictures will be eclipsed in 2006.

We are delighted that top professionals from more than 30 countries are now submitting entries but to ensure the widest participation there will once again be categories such as digiscoping, best amateur and birds in Britain to encourage less experienced entrants.

CLOSING DATE: Entries and registration fees must be received by August 31, 2006. Entries from outside the UK will be accepted up to 16 days after this date. Winners will be notified in December 2006.
