More hints (pics) please!

I vote Canada. I would vote California, but since you live there, I doubt it. :p

These shots remind me of some I've seen from Newfoundland and Labrador, so I'll just say Canada for now unless we have to be more specific. :D

I have no idea. I'm for sure it isn't Kentucky. Where ever it is hope you have a great time. I wish I had some scenery like that to shot for a change.

I'm thinking the inner passage along Canada and Alaska somewhere.
Whereever it is...I know you are probably having a fantastic time!!!

My guess would be somewhere near Whistler, BC.

Oh, BTW, Did you hear about Francois? He had a pretty nasty wreck at Demo yesterday. There is a big thread on the Norcal board.

Heheh I know you love it up north so I vote Canada too :)

This is actually a pretty neat idea for a thread...

Well that looks an awful lot like Indiana.

Right, that was my second guess right after the west coast

Anyone know what city this is or what mountain range is in this photo?

First one to accurately name where I am gets a book from the massive PhotographyREVIEW.com library. And just for the record, I'll be amazed if anyone can do it.

I apologize if the photo quality is questionable. I'm working off my laptop and having some color management issues.

In those first photos posted, my eyes wandered to the abandoned(?) buildings along the shore. I'd run through the UER LDB, but that'd take forever.

But I'm going to say Canada, somewhere along the west coast of BC.

The city, possibly Vancouver.

Gregg caught me on the phone in the airport and told me. I hope he's ok. I'll check the Nor Cal board. Thanks for the heads up about the thread. Are there pictures? I heard it was ugly. But I hope someone took pictures anyway.

I'm going to guess the first pictures are from the Columbia River Gorge, and the mountain range in the second set is the Cascades, but I have no idea what city that is.

It sounds like he's doin good, just his usual joking self minus a few teeth. There is some pics at post 45 of the helicopter ride back on this (http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=201783) thread

It's must be Norway, as there is not any Duoglas Fur.

I see some sort of stadium in one of those pics, so it is somewhere with a sports team, and its too big to just be a recreation field, I wanna say Seattle, but I know I'm wrong..

I wonder if it is France, when does the Tour De France start soon isn't it.

I'm gonna take a stab at Norway too. Mom went to the "homeland" and your pictures resemble her's, although Photo-John's are FAR superior!

Looks like a Fjord... pronounced much like my last name...

As for the city/mountain range, no clue. Oslo?

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the first image was, the Loch Ness Monster, so I'm going to guess Scotland.

I think the range is the Chilcotts(sp?), Town is probably Squamish?

I saw this post from you on mtbr...

I have too much time on my hands... I'm going to guess that the first photos were taken in Fjord Norway; the city is Oslo, and the mountain range is the Langfjells. Like I said, too much time on my hands...

I'm gonna go out on a limb, and say somewhere in Italy. Judging by a post I saw somewhere else about certain MTB products. I'm just not sure of the city.

I was also thinking Italy, after seeing the ice cream photo. The ice cream is one of the most vivid memories from the short time I spent in Italy 10 years ago.

Ok from that second post I'm saying it's Italy for sure and somewhere on the west coast in the north. My guess is Genoa or Marseille. And I didn't go to the sister site to try and root you out. Come to think of it that may just be a river and your up around Milan.

its gotta be squamish. I recognize that rockface in those last pictures.
