From Sunday, walking around downtown with Amy.
Shot this with Ilford FP4 125 film. 50mm lens, but I forget my settings. This was one of two I shot here, the other was oriented as a landscape. It was a tough choice, but this one worked a little better for me.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I personally am not a fan of the 'lower perspective' angle, I think a shoulder to eye height would have worked better......the way it is now, in my opinion, makes her seem top heavy. I also think maybe a little more in the foreground would help....

Just my opinion though.......and who am I ?? No One.

Another good pic...not my fav of your portraits, but I like what your doing. I like the feel on this photo...kinda has a 50's feel...maybe even earlier.
I like the angle and I don't know if it makes her seem top heavy, personally I like my women top heavy :D I believe the lower angle provides tension that is needed to make this photo work.

I would have liked the shot to have been a bit closer (maybe its the posting size?)...some less foreground and more of the top of the door. That light kinda bothers me, but cropping it out would kill the framing of the door and I think that is important.

Cheers

Any thoughts or suggestions?

You need to stop posting these great photographs of these great looking women!
OK?
 :D :p ;)
I tend to agree with PT on all aspects.

I've been back to look at this a few times and I think it needs more space in the foregroung and the top, so that you can see the roof coming to the edge of the wall.

It seems a little out of balance as presented.

I do like the pose and the effect of taking the photo looking up.

Another suggestion that jumped into my tiny brain when I first saw it - it would look good in sepia, especially in that dress looking as if its from the 40's, 50's

Just my thoughts

I would definitely crop the light out. Also the skin on her face and chest seem a little blown out.

I like the angle and composition of the shot and the 50s feel as PT said.

Whatever you do, DO NOT listen to mtbbrian. You go ahead and post pictures of as many beautiful women as you can get to stand in front of your camera!! :D  :p

Ok, first off... I'll stop photographing pretty girls when you tear my camera from MY COLD DEAD HANDS! My class happens to love it when I have assignments for critique because I can usually manage to get a new subject for each one! :D
As far as this shot goes, thanks for the suggestions on composition... As I said, it was originally 1 of 2 that I shot at this location. The shot in my original post is my favorite, but I'll post the other for kicks.
Anyone find the different orientation to work better?

I actually like the landscape format...gets rid of the light and deletes a bit of foreground.
However, I like her first pose...I like how her hips are pushed to one side and her hands look to be caressing the wall, not pushing. This gives her more form, has a bit more sex appeal, which is captivating.

Great photos tho! Thanks for posting. Cheers.
