Sorry for posting so many common birds lately. Shooting a completely new subject matter (birds) makes me feel like I'm completely new to photography again. Anyway, playing around with different angles and perspectives.
These are from a school down the street. The first one makes me think of a title like, "Hey, what's up with Fred?".
Give me some time to buy a longer telephoto so that I can get some wilder wildlife :p
Wonderful shots Loupey, for someone new to bird photography you are'nt doing too bad! Lovely colours and sharp.

I agree! We all can't start out taking pictures of rare elusive species from the get go. Honing ones skills is always easier with the more common ones anyway.
KEEP'UM COMING!

Thanks for the words of encouragement! The hard part for me is not knowing bird behaviour. How fast/close to approach, which direction they will land/fly, what time of day they are least/most active, etc. All the more reason to spend more time "in the field".
You know, I will have to resume taking pictures of things other than birds again :p

Well, aproaching is different with every species, but low and slow usually is the key. The most active times are usually early AM when the sun warms the trees and insects start to fly. Bird face into the wind when perched, so that should help ;)
