Hi. I just joined this site and I am jazzed to have a place to talk about photography.

Anyway, I am having trouble using the wireless flash through my D70. I have found the performance of the remote flash (SB600) to be sporadic at best. With an SB800 as a master on the camera, it seems that the remote flash has to be to be in line of sight or it won't fire.

I am relatively inexperienced using remote flashes, so is there something that I am doing wrong, or is this a common thing? Is the wireless flash setup on the D70 worth using, or should I be looking into a PocketWizard system?

I appreciate any advice anyone may have.

Hi potato...I don't know anything yet about setting up remote flashes, but there was a thread here a few days ago about a similar situation. The link is http://forums.photographyreview.com/showthread.php?t=18865 .
Check it out and it may give you an idea of whether you can work this out or not.
Hope this helps a little and welcome to PR.
Ken

Thank you for the reply, Ken. I probably should have looked up this subject before making a post . . . rookie mistake. :)

Anyway, I have been looking into the PocketWizards, and it looks like this my be the cure for my problem. I should hopefully have a set within the next couple of weeks.

No prob PG...I'm sorry I couldn't help you more and even that link may only give you some minor help. But it was the best I could do. Hope you get it all figured out.
