View Full Version : Portrait of Photo John from Santos Bike Trails...
Asylum Steve 03-04-2006, 01:17 PM Well, I'm pleased to be able to share one of the first pics from my portrait shoot with our own Photo John Shafer, which took place yesterday at the Santos mountain bike trailhead in nearby Ocala, Florida.
As most of you know, John was in Orlando this past week for the PMA convention. Naturally, I decided to take advantage of that...
Images from this shoot, as well some other shots I took of him Wednesday night, will be part of a new feature I'm launching on my web site soon. It will be called Asylum Q&A, and will showcase not only my portraits of interesting individuals (and I think we can all agree that John qualifies), but a series of questions and answers to give viewers a glimpse at the person behind the photos.
BTW, this pic is not the best one from the session. For that you'll have to wait... :p
Asylum Steve 03-04-2006, 01:31 PM A bit unusual, perhaps, and yes, he's wearing one of the infamous pr.com t-shirts...
BamaFru 03-04-2006, 04:46 PM I know it's been a while since I visited PR...I think PJ's hair was shorter then. These are great. I like the unbrella...it's perty. :p

Wow, nice work Steve. I was bummed that I didn't get to meet you on this trip, but I am sure we will stumble acroos each other some day. I wish I could say I got any pics like this, but it was night time and we were both pretty beat. Good stuff, got anymore?

So True!
 :p :D :)
I'd love to be a part of this!
It's too bad you didn't ride with him, Steve.
I for one have had the pleasure of doing both with John..
I look forward to seeing more!
Brian
RIDE ON!

Speed 03-06-2006, 12:31 PM Steve,
Did you use a Lens Baby for that first shot?
Or is that a PS technique?

Asylum Steve 03-07-2006, 07:49 AM Waiting, impatiently. :p
Hi Lara. The ball's in John's court. Once he provides me with incredibly witty and poignant answers to the questions I sent him, we're a go...
He's got a million of those witty answers, heh.

Speed, the selective focus and vignetting was done in PS...
