I like, although can't technically tell you why :confused: . Everytime I pass an abandoned warehouse/building, I think about your work. I want to try some myself, but fear of being attacked (gang/homeless people), and lack of technical experience has become my excuse. Perhaps one day. Until then, I will continue to admire yours.

The more I look at this I feel that a better and more interesting picture might have been had, had you taken this front on and from perhaps a lying down position. The figures and the old electrical boxes together contain a strange and intimidating presence and need our full attention. How do you feel about this Seb?

Seb, this is an interesting scene, and i like the soft color tone, especially that green. I agree with Tom here in that I see a stronger image in the painted figures and the electrical boxes above them. I think this is ok, but feel there is more included in this scene than need be.

I agree with the others on this. I like the colours but the composition would be better square on and zoomed in on the electrical boards.

I do agree that this scene could be composed in a better way (although there something I like about this comp, I can't quite put my finger on it...). I must say that I didn't envisioned this scene in any other way when I was there. For this reason I truly appreciate your suggestions, it makes me think about that space in new ways.

Payn: Thanks a lot for your good words. You made my day! About your safety issue, all the pictures I have been submitting here over the past few weeks were shot during an organized workshop with a bunch of photogs. Security simply wasn't an issue for me at that time. That being said, I like to shoot industrial kind of scenes in various locations/situations. I am not especially anxious when doing so but I guess that the key point is to have a good feel of the place you intend to shoot before doing so. When shooting in my home town (Montreal), I oftenly discover potential shooting locations while wandering arround with or without my camera. I may shoot it at the first place if I find the lighting to be good or I may decide to come back later. In which case, I'll wander some more in order to look for other potential opportunities and to get a feel of how safe the place can be. There are some areas in the city where I wouldn't dare to hang out but industrial locations usually are quiet and safer than one might think.
All this to say that you shouldn't limit yourself in your shooting. Look out for potential locations arround your home (they are everywhere) and have fun. That's what it's all about!
