The esplanade in Singapore, often light heartedly likened to the 'fragrant' durian fruit, grown and eaten in huge quantities here, also banned on public transport!
Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? Herriot readingr 01-27-2006, 04:40 AM Love the pattern you captured and the composition, I think the only thing letting you down is the sky, it would be nice with a bit more saturation to make the building stand out more. Have you got a bit of dust on the lens on the right third spine down on the building there is a white spot or is this on the building, a bit of cloning to get rid of it. Roger dbutler 01-27-2006, 05:05 AM This is awesome! I love abstracts like this. Fun and appealing in so many ways. I agree with Roger on the possibility of a stronger sky making for a stronger image. SmartWombat 01-27-2006, 01:36 PM White spot looks like bird dropping to me. That's a question though, do you want the photo as it is, or as it ought to be (unblemished). I agree a better sky would improve it. payn817 01-27-2006, 01:48 PM A b&w may be nice. Especially if there were some great clouds. The repeating patterns though are cool, you have an eye for these type of things in buildings. If you decide to reshoot, I owuld like to see the new version. Herriot 01-27-2006, 04:44 PM Roger, thank you for your help, I hadn't noticed the white blob that you pointed out, it was on the building as suggested, so it has been cloned out. I have also increased the saturation as you can see, Thanks everyone for your input, the Esplanade is a very heavily photographed part of the Singapore skyline so there have been useful comments that I will take on board for future shoots. Many thanks Herriot |
