A co-worker has been interviewed for a magazine article about working on Capitol Hill and they want her to send shots of herself at work. Knowing that I have taken up photography as a hobby she has asked me to take the shots for her.

I don't usually photograph people and am looking for some pointers to take some good "action" shots of her at work. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Take a look at Time magazine or business magazines for ideas, they've always got corprate shots with interviews and articles. Keep it simple and try to use natural light (daylight from a window) if that's an option. You could use that with bounced flash so the light isn't so harsh - but you will need a white ceiling for this.

Do you know what her office looks like? Maybe you could do this in area that does have windows and a white ceiling if her office doesn't. Or maybe there's a hallway or courtyard, etc. Be careful of flash reflections with all glass areas though.
