Lets see yours! natatbeach 12-30-2005, 10:32 PM I love the feather with the beads of water here's my four favorites for the year---- Chunk 12-31-2005, 07:08 AM Here are some of my best photos from 2005. Lets see yours! Those are great shot Jorgemonkey. I especially like the colored seascape and the feather. Thanks for the walk down memory lane that I took while looking at my shots from this year. It made me realize how successful this year has been for me in getting shots that I like. It was hard to pick just 4 shots. I probably wouldn't pick the same 4 tomorrow. I hope a lot of folks post in this thread. Chunk 12-31-2005, 07:15 AM Nice choices Nat. I like how you catch your daughter's pensive mood. Have you played with your food lately? Old Timer 12-31-2005, 07:28 AM I would not say these are my best of 2005, but they were the ones I had here at work and I do like them all. Hope you do too. paulnj 12-31-2005, 06:47 PM I would not say these are my best of 2005, but they were the ones I had here at work and I do like them all. Hope you do too. While ALL these images are great in my opinion.... EVERY LAST IMAGE POSTED IN THIS THREAD!!... Pictures of children and families are ranked highest to me :) Hard to believe coming from a nature shooter huh  masdog 12-31-2005, 11:16 PM I love the last one, Chunk. payn817 01-01-2006, 05:42 AM You all have probably seen them before... but here goes. Btw, I started shooting May 25, 2005, so I still got some catching up to do :( but, I guess not too bad for 6 or so months... swmdrayfan 01-01-2006, 06:41 AM There are some excellent pictures here. I won't embarass myself by posting any of mine.:) LeeIs 01-02-2006, 03:00 AM My favourites for this year are. http://img490.imageshack.us/img490/1493/030ev.jpg http://img490.imageshack.us/img490/8610/019dv.jpg http://img490.imageshack.us/img490/5236/022il.jpg http://img490.imageshack.us/img490/5815/040tk.jpg http://img490.imageshack.us/img490/1714/058gs.jpg srobb 01-02-2006, 05:42 AM There are some excellent pictures here. I have a long way to go to equal the shots in the thread so far. payn817 01-02-2006, 06:17 AM After looking at all the pics so far, that is my feeling, too. I have a long way to go to equal the shots in the thread so far. Come on guys, I posted mine!! Don't let me be the only noob posting in this thread... Mine aren't the greatest, but they are some of my best, you shouldn't be ashamed of your work, everyone here knows this is a learning process. Looking back sometimes helps you to move forward, maybe you will find where you want to go, or what you want to try for the next year. For me, it is about fun and a challenge, if I let it stop being fun, I'll lay down my equiptment. Chunk 01-02-2006, 06:26 AM 4 great shots Larry. I don't think I've seen that 'baby doing a bridge' shot or anything like it before. The dandy is one that I still need to do successfully for myself. You can't find a better picture of a Grandmother's love anywhere. Chunk 01-02-2006, 06:29 AM Thanks Masdog, so do I. It was one of the shots I gave to Mom for Mother's Day this year. It's not our farm but it's some Wisconsin scenery for her walls in Arizona. Old Timer 01-02-2006, 06:32 AM Thanks Chunk. I appreciated your kind words. Jack is becoming my favorite subject, wish I had him around full time to take pictures of. I just hope that 2006 will be a fruitful year for my photography. I need to find an inspiration. Old Timer 01-02-2006, 06:38 AM I really like #4. Your post improved month by month thru out 2005. You are no doubt the master of the pattern shots. I hope that I can improve my eye this year and start to challenge you in this category. If I were to make a New Years resolution it would be to put myself in better picture taking situations. Like geting up and out and catching the fog like you did early in the morning. Great year with the camera Chunk. mjs1973 01-02-2006, 07:40 AM Here are a few of my favorites from 2005. mjs1973 01-02-2006, 07:43 AM One more that I really like. srobb 01-02-2006, 09:03 AM Come on guys, I posted mine!! I will try to post a few more that I have that have not been posted on PR yet. Old Timer 01-02-2006, 09:18 AM A year to be proud of Michael. I like that first on the best. The whole feel of the image grabs me. Love the silky look of the water fall. Old Timer 01-02-2006, 09:25 AM Come on guys, I posted mine!! Don't let me be the only noob posting in this thread... This thread is not a contest. Just a chance for everyone to show case what they think are some of their best from last year. It's going to be a hoot to go back and check this thread out in 12 months. Come on everyone join in the fun. Make this one of the biggest threads of the year. adina 01-02-2006, 10:45 AM Mine you've probably seen....not so much best as favorites... I did much more shooting other peoples kids than I did my own this year, and I have a lot of nice ones from those, but I decided to go with my own stuff. adina 01-02-2006, 10:52 AM This list would be different if I picked tomorrow or yesterday, but for today... I just went thru my 2005 photo and pulled the ones that caught my eye right now. Old Timer 01-02-2006, 11:16 AM This list would be different if I picked tomorrow or yesterday, but for today... I just went thru my 2005 photo and pulled the ones that caught my eye right now. Beautiful as always Adina. I think all our list would change from day to day. I know my favorites change very often. I expected to see a few nice images when I opened this thread, but wasn't expecting this. You could make a book from these...Awesome!!!!!! I'll need to dig deep :) Mike JSPhoto 01-02-2006, 03:14 PM Argh! I wish I could add to this, but the papers got the really good good stuff, so I am adding two lone shots from the state football finals. These are from different games. The first is a cheerleader who had just turned around and flashed this smile when she saw the camera :) And the second is a sign these kids made, and although they are related to the coach the sign says it all.....were all hoping he decides not to retire! JS Old Timer 01-03-2006, 04:35 AM Nice JS, but nobody said you couldn't post a couple of sports pics. You have had some awesome post over on the sports board this year. JSPhoto 01-03-2006, 07:09 AM Nice JS, but nobody said you couldn't post a couple of sports pics. You have had some awesome post over on the sports board this year. They are about sports :) .... but I wanted something different :) This way I'm not too one dimensional...hahaha JS mjs1973 01-03-2006, 07:48 AM They are about sports :) .... but I wanted something different :) This way I'm not too one dimensional...hahaha JS I know the feeling JS. I tried to pick some photos with a little diversity to them for this thread. OT, thank you very much for the kind words. I'm looking forward to summer so I can try out a shot like your dandylion image. :) dbutler 01-03-2006, 08:50 AM Am I too late because I wanted to add one as well. These are of my pup Max. Well, he's over two years old but he will always be a puppy to me. He is a rescue and was seriously abused after failing his first hunting season. When he came to us, he would have nightmares of whatever was done to him and wake up howling and terrified. It would sometimes take me hours to get him calm again. But he has adjusted very nicely in only one year. The only problem I had remaining was that he was terrified of the camera and would run and hide everytime I pointed it at him, especially if the flash would pop. To get him used to it, I just took tons of shots of our other "puppy" Sam and Max finally decided he would allow me to shoot him. And these are the results. The first one (I call it "sexy Max") has plenty of problems with it, but have anything to do with him or his expression :) ). The other I've kept partially in shadow since he still has a long way to go before he is out of them. Just had to share (I'm such a bragging type of mom!!) Paul.S. 01-03-2006, 12:12 PM Some realy great a notable shots in this post... Your small display showcased a lot of diversity in your skills. Thanks for sharing them with us. Old Timer 01-04-2006, 04:30 AM Wonderful photographs Paul. Hard to find something to dislike here. The cave shot is a real eye pleaser. Thanks for joining in the fun. jorgemonkey 01-04-2006, 06:19 AM Some many beautiful photographs! Its hard to pick out of all of these that I could call my favorite. almo 01-04-2006, 08:28 AM http://luyckxnet.no-ip.org/luyckx_tk/photos/joc/joc_13.jpg the jars of clay equipment case (Jars of Clay Concert) You need to submit this image to The Jars. This is the kinda thing they use for album art. Its really a wonderful image! Paul.S. 01-04-2006, 08:34 AM I agree with Almo about the Jars image, they might, umm pardon the pun, snap it up! :) Great shots Seb, love the laptop product shot. Thanks for the kudos. The cave shot is a post composit of a photograph balanced for the grottos opening and another shot balanced for the water. The times on them were 3 seconds and 25 seconds. To much range in tone to get it one clean snap. cheers P. almo 01-04-2006, 08:41 AM Just a few that stood out for me... http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a183/almoagain/Bugs/DorantesLongtail-Urbanusdorantes.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a183/almoagain/Bugs/652145012.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a183/almoagain/Birds/zoo4-17-05281.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a183/almoagain/Other%20Animals/197-9723_CRW.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a183/almoagain/Plants/IMG_4928.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a183/almoagain/Portaits/Picture044.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a183/almoagain/Portaits/2514068.jpg Nuck 01-04-2006, 12:09 PM Some pretty inspiring photo's, great job all around Knight 01-04-2006, 04:14 PM Inspired by Almo , Whos the greatest Bug Man alive :) And 2 from my newest passion Birding :) PaulNJ has me hooked :) And Nuck im a PS Z 740 user also :) Axle 01-04-2006, 05:08 PM You need to submit this image to The Jars.
