The real reason I got into taking pictures :)
My daughter & niece playing in the sand dunes. 35 mm point & shoot with black & white film...this before I realized how easy it is to just use a digital camera and convert it to black and white ;)

Now THIS is a fabulous capture. Their joy is so easy to read and it's simply wonderful. I, personally, love the DOF. And how the little girl in the front has a top that reflects the surroundings. The hand holding just adds to the sweetness of this pic and the bigger girl seems to be protective and loving of the little one. If I had to pick on something it would be for a tiny bit of fill on the older girls face, just a tiny bit to liven up the eyes and lessen the brighter spot from the reflection off the white top.
This is simply adorable!!

Beautiful B & W image. This one belongs in a frame on someone's wall. Well done! :D
Very nicely done.
Have you tried any other tonings beyond this one? I'm thinking a little more brown possibly? If you do, don't darken the faces anymore, they might use a small amount of brightness adjustment as well as the hair on the younger one is a little bit to dark.
The eyes though well in focus (seemingly) need either some highlight or shine for my tastes.
Two good subjects, do we get to see more?

Very nice and very well presented.
My one criticism is this; that dark thing in the bg just above the child's head is crying out to be cloned out.
Other than that it looks lovely.

Wonderful capture. Can't say much more than what has already been said. The expressions are adorable. Love the DOF and I think it's good enough that I would not worry about cloning anything out of the bg. The only thing I would do would be to tweak the contrast very little then print, frame and hang on the wall.
