I was talking to my coworker about this incredible lens Nikon made back in the late 60's/early 70s- 6mm f2.8, the front element is over a foot in diameter, 220deg FOV- those that know what I'm talking about know how amazing this lens is. Anyways I wanted to show him pics taken with it but can't seem to locate anything on the web (other than pics of the lens itself). Anyone know of where I can find example shots? Thanks!

I saw a couple of those recently (the lenses) can't remember who had them or where I saw them though!

Tada... http://www.nearfield.com/~dan/photo/wide/fish/ ...sample pics on the bottom.
I know it's the 6mm f5.6, but I think it'll help.

Nikon School was using an image taken outside with this lens. There's so much DOF that they set a grasshopper on the front element and it was in focus... Not sure where to find that one though. Not too many of those lenses made.

It's not in the reviews but I'll add it. That way it will be in the database and connected to the gallery. Then, hopefully, we can collect our own images from the lens. Plus, it sounds noteworthy enough. It should be in the database, even if it's out-of-production.

I just added the 6mm fisheye to the reviews. On the oft-chance that anyone here actually has this lens, here's a link to the new review page: http://www.photographyreview.com/cat/lenses/35mm-primes/nikon/PRD_346846_3111crx.aspx
Thanks for bringing this lens to my attention. I'm glad to have it listed on the site. I'd like to have more cool old equipment in the reviews.
