PuckJunkey 04-03-2004, 04:22 PM For me personally, I don't think it works for the simple reason that a portrait at least will show some context (like a shadow on the streets for example), if not the actual person's facial features to some degree. This is more about your girlfriend's figure than it is about her IMO. Not that it wasn't worth trying but... that's just my take. Jezz 04-05-2004, 12:04 AM yes i agree, just wondering what constituted a portrait, i have never done any kind of course so this is all new to me. please any ideas about this please tell me? Plus what do you think about this photo? stew 04-05-2004, 06:10 AM yes i agree, just wondering what constituted a portrait, i have never done any kind of course so this is all new to me. please any ideas about this please tell me? Plus what do you think about this photo? I agree with PuckJunkey - the portrait should have at least some aspects of her face... this is more about the body. However, nice that she is so open with you! I've attempted this type of pic before, with mixed results. Keep posting. -Stew Norman 04-05-2004, 08:00 AM The only "mistake" you made & I don't mean mistake, is to call your picture a portriat. I think it's ok. You should keep taking pictures, your finding your own style. By breaking the rules your helping everyone to think a little deeper. I might have cropped the feet off, but then again in does ground the photo with perspective. |
