My first post of the Newfinder: a through-the-window-screen view of a beautiful icecicle hanging off our gutter this morning.
Also: how do you tell which threads you've clicked on and which you haven't? I can see no difference.
I love the fact that the Viewfinder now has its own icon in my "Favorites" list, too :) Nice details!
Hope you enjoy the pic and I hope someone can answer me question for me.
Thanks,
Rick

Nice shot Rick. I like the tight framing of it. It almost has an abstract look to it. Try even tighter next time.
Question for you. How do you get the emoticoms to post inside the message box? I can't get mine to go there. What am I missing???

Thanks for the compliments buddy.
I agree about the tighter crop. I was trying to get closer but my little P&S digi wouldn't focus any closer ;)
I also think it would've been nicer if you couldn't make out the grid pattern of the window screen I shot through :(
About these emoticons: I wasn't tyring to get them to show up when they did so I guess I'm a little peeved about it but ah, I'll get over it ;) Just type into your message the "text" way, ie a colon and an end parenthesis, and it will automatically convert it to an emoticon... or just click on one in the box to the right.
If you like that kind of thing :o
Thanks again
Rick

In the New Thread form and the Reply form there is a panel of Smilies to the right of the message box that you can use to add the emoticons. :D
They appear initially as text but switch to the graphic variety when posted.
The Smilies panel does not appear in the Quick Reply form.
