My daughter HH, posing for her birthday portrait in the playhouse. Suggestions, comments if you please?

Aw...what a cutie! This is a really sweet picture too.
My only nit would be that the doors/shutters are a bit bright for my liking...but aside from that, I really like it. :)

Here is the image without any contrast or brightness bumps. Do you find the contrast between the house and the background to too heavy in the first image or does this one have the same problem?

Hmm...well, I do like the framing around her a little less bright, but when you take away the contrast...you lose a little something with her. I'm not much help, am I?? Lol...

Nice photo

I think what you need to do is select the face and body, and then adjust the contrast for just the face which will make your daughter pop a bit more.

Or how about reverting to the colour? I think it would solve the problems.

Yeah! Can we see the color version if there is one?

For your consideration, in color.

Oh, I love the color one. Her eyes are beautiful, and I love the red of her shirt against the off-white of the house. If you just crop it like the b&w one is, I think that one is my favorite version.

With the same crop. Thanks for your advice everyone! :D

Its a lovely photo but I prefer the B&W. I hope you don't mind but I saved it to see if the extra contrast on the head and body would work, and it does make the B&W stand out even more than the colour.

Give it a try,

Roger

I love this shot.

The expression on your daughter's face is amazing. She seems so mature in her early age!! So poised & serious! and very strong.

The pic as a whole is very well framed too.

Good shooting.
