I like it. Lovely composition. I even like the gap in the wood panels and how it creates that dark diagonal line. I also like the hard shadows that the leaf is casting The only thing that bugs me a bit is the shadow on top or is that a stain in the wood?

Hi Leels...thanks for your comments on this. :) That is a shadow above the leaf, and it bugs me too...unfortunately, I can't come up with a good crop that will work for this one.

Emily, I prefer this one over the first. The leaf itself is significantly more interesting by its shape and the shadow adds life to the scene. Finally, I think that the sepia toning works better here (I am not a fan of sepia but I like this one).

I like this and also the shadows above the leaf as they show the leaf in the environment I also like the contrast of the hard shadows fromt he leaf and the soft shadows from the unseen tree that the leaf came from.
