Is anyone aware of any device which can be purchased to transfer 8MM home movies to a DVD?. I know you can pay and have them transferred, but I have so many I would like to transfer to a DVDs that it would probably be cheaper to purchase the device if there is such a thing. Thank you much

i am guessing you have a video camera that plays back the 8mm tapes. the simplest way to do it is to get a video capture card that supports analogue input. once the video is captured to your hard drive you can edit it if you wish and export it to dvd.
