Hey guys, I'm going to be doing a rock band shoot, and I just want to do some crazy experimenting. I come from a cinematography and Graphic design background, so while the theory is there for me, I am relatively new to Still Photo...

So I wanted to ask for some opinions and help. My friend is letting me borrow her really sweet archaic Olympus 35mm SLR. She has a 50mm prime and telephoto.

I want to find some good color stock to shoot on with a wide latitude and a hard, grainy edge... so probably high speed. I'd love to do a skip bleach, to get some really muted colors, like pale greens and blues, with a rough edge to it all.

Second to that, I want to get a smooth color film with rich contrast that I could use with a black promist to get a really soft feel.

Of course a lot of this can be done in photoshop, but there are times when a holistic approach is the best!

thanks in advance

I didn't respond before because I don't have any idea...

Had a thought though, there is another forum that might be more help with something like this: The Analog Photography Users Group (http://www.apug.org/forums/home.php)
