Welcome your critiques. yoyo Overbeyond 07-24-2005, 04:08 AM I had to look twice to detect the camera angle on the first especially, and then had to think twice about how to describe them; bleak is what I came up with. But it is this very bleakness of the architecture that gives them their attraction, makes them different and ultimately a success. It has a total lack of reference points that makes you really look at it carefully to work out what it is. In the first shot the yellow balcony really helps the eye roam around the photo and the pattern of the sticking out bits which I think look like 35mm film strips are terrific. Its a shame the little window is open it might have been better with it closed but not sure of that. The second photo is really good but I keep wanting to rotate it about 0.5 degree to the left, even thoug the horizontal lines on the bottom are straight. With the yellow balcony of the top photo, I would have liked to see more symetry in the framing of the photo, if all the balconies around the edges were equal, the exceptionality of the yellow balcony would have been even more striking.
